The Learjet company opened it’s doors to the aviation public in the 1950’s serving the civilian and military aircraft with the primary focus being business jets. It was only in 1990 that Bombardier decided to acquire this company and make it part of its global operations. Their first model developed under new ownership was the Learjet 60 and soon after the 45. This is a very popular business jet for new private jet owners and chartering companies in South Africa, the UK and US. Prices for this aircraft range from $2 million and up with newer models being a little more expensive.
