Okay so our web designer came up with a great idea to show you what types of jets people are searching for online. He has got some crazy marketing skills and knows a lot we didn’t even know existed when it comes to finding search statistics online. You can imagine this type of market research can be very helpful for a company like us.
We thought it would be a great addition to our already vibrant private jet blog and might give potential buyers some insight to the most popular jets in the industry. The question however remained: should we base this post on the US market which some believes take up to %50 of the private jet industry on a yearly basis or the African market which coupled with the Middle East makes for a rough 10% estimate.
Although private jet searches in South Africa is plenty, believe me we wouldn’t have built a website around it if it wasn’t we think that the United States aircraft market might show a bit more feasible results. If we missed any jets that you were looking for just contact us and we can update this post, there are so many private jet manufacturers it will be easy to miss a model.
To recap: for the purpose of this post we will be focusing on the private jet market in the United States (not South Africa) and we will begin our search with what we believe to be the 5 most popular business and corporate jet manufacturers in the world. These business aircraft makers are: Bombardier, Gulfstream, Embraer, Falcon, and Cessna. You can find out more about the biggest brands in the Aviation industry at this article “The Major Business Airplane Manufacturers at A Glance”, just keep in mind it was published in 2012 but still a lot mentioned there is valid today.
Take a look at our initial search results:
Keep in mind these private jet results aren’t always 100% accurate but it looks like Falcon is at the top with over 60000 searches per month with Gulfstream, Bombardier and Cessna in third (40000 searches) and Embraer in a technical 3rd place. According to our website designer we have to remember that not all these searches are specific to private jets. Take the “Falcon” search for example – a lot of people can be searching for Falcons as well (the bird). However our suspicions are accurate when it comes to assuming that Cessna, Gulfstream and Bombardier are among the top searched private jet / aircraft companies.
Now let’s take a closer look at some of the most popular private jet models around, how many monthly searches they receive and which one get searched the most. For this part of the post we’re going to focus on the Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global, the Gulfstream G series and the Cessna’s Citation range. We only decided to show results with more than 1000 searches.
Take a look at the results:
It looks like Gulfstream is on top with Cessna’s Citation range following slightly behind them. So there you have it, an insight into the United States private jet market. Be sure to visit our home page for the jets for sale South Africa has to offer!
